FACTS NOT FEAR 0/13

The COVID-19 pandemic response ignored previous pandemic preparedness plans and continues to overlook emerging scientific evidence.

Public health Interventions should meet the following conditions:

  1. respect human dignity and autonomy
  2. be participatory and non-coercive
  3. be based on individual needs
  4. aim to minimize total harm, not just harm from a single disease
  5. be based on favourable cost-benefit analysis

The role of government is to provide accurate information so individuals can make informed decisions. Instead, coercion and censorship are making the adjustment to a more proportionate response impossible.

FACTS NOT FEAR 1/13

COVID SUSCEPTIBILITY

In March 2020, COVID-19 was predicted to kill 40 million people worldwide, based on flawed computer modelling and faulty assumptions, including no one being immune from the virus.

Up to 80% of people have prior immunity from exposure to closely-related coronaviruses, protecting them from serious illness.

In March 2020, the Diamond Princess ship data showed that only a small section of the population is at risk of serious illness from SARS-CoV-2.

SARS-CoV-2 is NOT so novel. Our immune systems can protect us.

FACTS NOT FEAR 2/13

COVID FATALITY RATES

“The consequences of COVID-19 may ultimately be more akin to those of a severe seasonal influenza” – Dr Anthony Fauci

In March 2020, the WHO claimed mortality from COVID-19 = 3.4%. This represents deaths among cases, which then included only high-risk individuals in hospitals, with a higher risk of death than most.

This figure falsely implied that the general public was at similar risk.

Yet, if infected, the average mortality with COVID is similar to the flu at around 0.15%, globally.

COVID is NOT Ebola.

FACTS NOT FEAR 3/13

COVID MORTALITY

COVID-19 is dangerous for the very old,  yet, the median age of death with COVID-19 is similar to that of natural mortality in most countries.

Children and young people have almost zero risk of death from COVID. 99.95% of individuals below 70 survive if infected. Survival is even higher for healthy individuals. 95% of deaths occur with one or more serious health problems.

Lockdowns failed to protect the vulnerable and caused immense collateral damage, particularly  to the young and the poor. Resources should be focused on protecting ONLY the high-risk group (mostly people above 50, with other health problems). The rest can live normally.

FACTS NOT FEAR 4/13

ASYMPTOMATIC SPREAD

“In all the history of respiratory-born viruses of any type, asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks. The driver of outbreaks is always a symptomatic person.” Anthony Fauci

A systematic review and meta-analysis from 2020 showed that  asymptomatic spread is not a key driver of disease. Asymptomatic ‘cases’ transmit a very low viral load, facilitating population inoculation, which is protective, rather than causing severe disease.

Testing and quarantining healthy people and preventing them from working or travelling is unscientific and must end.

FACTS NOT FEAR 5/13

TRANSMISSION

The CDC overestimated outdoor spread of SARS-CoV-2 , claiming it represents 10% of transmissions, when it is 100 times less.

Catching the virus from surfaces is also very rare. SARS-CoV-2 is mainly spread through tiny aerosol droplets (airborne) that remain suspended in the air for days.

Transmission is most common in indoor settings with a high amount of circulating viruses, such as in hospitals and nursing homes.

Lockdowns, school closures, social distancing, mass testing and contact tracing and border closures are futile. They damage all aspects of life: physical, mental, social, and economic.

FACTS NOT FEAR 6/13

PCR TESTS

The PCR test is not designed to diagnose infectiousness or illness. It merely detects SARS-CoV-2 genetic material, dead or alive. The cycle threshold (Ct) is the number of times the genetic material of the sample is doubled.

The WHO recommended a high Ct of 45, well above what is needed to detect a live virus 1, 2, 3, 4 and defined a case based on a positive PCR test, regardless of symptoms (contrary to established medical practice). The result is a high number of clinical false positives, inflated case and death numbers and the incorrect attribution of death to COVID-19.

Only high-risk patients with symptoms should be tested to inform their treatment.

FACTS NOT FEAR 7/13

MASKS

Numerous conflicting messages about masks were issued to the public by health authorities.

The CDC published a meta-analysis in May 2020 stating, “We did not find evidence that surgical-type face masks are effective in reducing laboratory-confirmed influenza transmission”.

The WHO published Interim guidance in June 2020 stating “At present, there is no direct evidence on the effectiveness of universal masking of healthy people in the community”.

“The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material.” Dr Anthony Fauci

The data shows mask mandates don’t reduce viral spread.

FACTS NOT FEAR 8/13

ZERO COVID

A ZERO COVID world is completely unrealistic and unachievable. New variants will always emerge as long as there is transmission:

  1. The vaccine doesn’t stop infection or transmission
  2. The virus can be transmitted among animals

Even if the entire planet is vaccinated, transmission will continue.

All respiratory viruses mutate. Yet  variants are so minutely different from each other that our immune system recognises them – if previously encountered – and protects us from serious illness.

Natural immunity to SARS-CoV-2 is broad and long-lasting—more so than vaccine-induced immunity.

SARS-CoV-2 is now one of 5 circulating coronaviruses. It’s here to stay.

FACTS NOT FEAR 9/13

LONG COVID

Evidence is poor on the severity and prevalence of Long-COVID, with many studies relying on self-reported symptoms and not including uninfected control groups.

Experiencing long-term symptoms following illness is common with all respiratory viruses, including the flu. Early treatment reduces hospitalisation and deaths and is very likely to reduce the incidence of Long-COVID in COVID-19 patients.

For the vast majority of patients, COVID-19 is a mild self-limiting illness with no long-term sequelae. Recent studies show that there was no meaningful difference in Long-COVID symptoms reported by children and adolescents who were seropositive (with SARS-CoV-2 antibodies – indicating recent infection) or seronegative (without SARS-CoV-2 antibodies).

EMERGENCY USE AUTHORIZATION (EUA)

Conditions for EUA of Vaccines:

  1. The disease caused by the virus is life-threatening
  2. There is no treatment for the disease

COVID-19 has serious health consequences for a small high-risk group. Life saving treatment protocols, using safe and effective drugs (eg. Ivermectin), have been available since August 2020. Unfortunately, they are being suppressed and even banned.

The EUA conditions are thus not met and the vaccines do not qualify for EUA. They require further study in controlled clinical trials. The results  should be replicated by independent scientists, before the vaccines are offered to the high-risk group.

FACTS NOT FEAR 11/13

COVID VACCINES

COVID-19 vaccines may be offered to high-risk individuals (mostly people above 50, with other health problems) who are not recovered from COVID only when the benefits of the vaccines clearly outweigh their risks for the individual. Their informed consent is essential.

There is an alarming signal in the adverse events reporting systems around the world of serious adverse events, following COVID-19 vaccination, particularly myocarditis in the young. Immediate action must be taken to prevent greater harm.

For the following low-risk groups, the vaccine risks outweigh their benefits- vaccinating these groups will increase total harm:

  1. children & young people
  2. individuals with past SARS-CoV-2 infection (including asymptomatic infection)
  3. individuals below 60 with no existing health problems
  4. risk to the foetus and breastfeeding infant from the vaccination of their mother cannot be determined yet.

FACTS NOT FEAR 12/13

VACCINE PASSPORTS

Vaccines should never be mandatory or coerced through social pressure.

A sound basis for vaccination is:

  1. medical need (high risk from COVID, poor health status, advanced age)
  2. informed consent about the risks posed by the vaccines
  3. the benefits of the vaccine outweigh its risks for the individual
  4. freedom of choice (like any other medical intervention)

If the vaccines work, the vaccinated are protected, so vaccine passports are pointless. If they don’t work, then vaccine passports are pointless too.
