1/6 A thread on @BBC and gutter journalism.— David Bell (@bell00david) February 1, 2022
The BBC, apart from spelling the podcaster’s name wrong, is palpably wrong on each of their 4 points of refutation.
Does it matter when public media lies to denigrate another person?
Joe Rogan: Four claims … https://t.co/9Gv4upJGJJ
2/6 ‘Gene therapy’. In the quote, he doesn’t say ‘alters your genes’ as BBC state.— David Bell (@bell00david) February 1, 2022
The definition of vaccine changed in 2020 to accommodate mRNA vax.
As Moderna note, they are genetic material, ‘mRNA medicines’, intended to have a ‘therapeutic effect’.https://t.co/oUlXVYj4Ju
3/6 IVM…— David Bell (@bell00david) February 1, 2022
Some studies yes, some no. So claim is reasonable as stated.
BBC refer to Brazil, Peru, ignoring Uttar Pradesh, Japan whilst complaining about ‘cherry-picking’. Japan considers worth trialling further.
So they don’t show Rogan wrong, but do show own ignorance & bias.
4/6 On claims on side-effects post vax.— David Bell (@bell00david) February 1, 2022
BBC quotes ‘270 doctors & healthcare professionals’. They know this is a lie, a large proportion of signatories weren’t of those professions.
FDA notes higher rates from vax 2nd dose, which backs the claim’s logic). https://t.co/rx81RYZja5
5/6 Myocarditis in the young.— David Bell (@bell00david) February 1, 2022
The BBC ‘s own reference states: “risk of myocarditis …higher following the Moderna vaccine … than COVID-19” (Oxford)
They ignore data elsewhere (Hong Kong- 1/2700, Israel -1/6700, USA (Kaiser)- 1/2,000).
This is not refutation, just childish.
6/6. So, does it matter that a publicly funded broadcaster conducts a hit-job against an individual, based on straight lies and deceit/ misleading information?— David Bell (@bell00david) February 1, 2022
That the public are fund an entity to deliberately mis-leads them?
Who gains from this and why do they do it?
BBC got Joe Rogan’s name correct. I was incorrect. Apologies. But the character assassination issue stands.— David Bell (@bell00david) February 1, 2022
